Agreement between Serbia, Croatia on cooperation in education

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Tomislav Jovanovic and Croatian Minister of Science, Education and Sport Zeljko Jovanovic signed the Agreement on the seat of the Secretariat of the Education Reform Initiative of South-Eastern Europe, which will be in Belgrade.

Jovanovic said that he and his Croatian counterpart exchanged views on the problems that exist, but also on how to resolve them in the long run.
The ministers also discussed the intensification of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education at all levels, as well as joint appearance and defining joint projects both within Serbia and Croatia as well as within the EU.
Jovanovic said that his colleague from Croatia presented the proposal that human resources and equipment are used together, producing better results.
The Croatian Minister of Science, Education and Sport said that the agreement signed today is very important because it allows the exchange of experiences and better and closer cooperation in science and education.
Education and science are essential for progress of society and the development of every country, so if we want to be equal participants in education and research in Europe, then we must invest in education, research and knowledge, he said.
This agreement has so far been signed by Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia, and Albania and Moldova are also expected to sign it, he said.
