Djuric said that the meeting today with representatives of the state leaders and mayors of 25 municipalities from all districts south of the river resulted in a unique position to go to the elections with a single Serbian list, to be supported by SErbian institutions.
He pointed out that the municipalities, which will be formed on the basis of these elections, will not be the municipalities of an independent state of Kosovo, but Serbian municipalities through which the representatives of the Serbian people will in the internationally recognised way assert their rights.
He pointed out that the outcome of these elections will not be the recognition of Kosovo's statehood and that these elections will be conducted solely on the basis of the Brussels agreement and its implementation plan.
Djuric said that the meeting concerned all the details and challenges ahead.
According to him, the goal is for the Serbs in Kosovo to obtain the much needed authority, credibility in the eyes of international institutions and so they come in a better position than the one in which the institutions are not universally accepted.
The meeting, which was held in the Presidency of Serbia, was attended by President Tomislav Nikolic, Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Aleksandar Vulin.
