The government adopted at its today's meeting the National programme for early detection of breast cancer, which aims to improve the prevention and reduce the mortality of women with this disease.
There are 4,000 new cases of breast cancer registered in Serbia every year.
The government at its session today also adopted the National programme for early detection of cervical cancer and the National programme for early detection of colorectal cancer.
These national programs are in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation, and it is expected that their implementation will significantly reduce mortality from these diseases.
The Bill ratifying the Agreement between the governments of Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia on police cooperation and the Bill ratifying the Agreement between the government of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina on the readmission of persons who enter and stay illegally were also adopted.
The government adopted a decision to form a temporary authority in the city of Pristina and the municipalities of Novo Brdo and Pec, in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija.
These interim authorities will perform the tasks and responsibilities of the Assembly and the executive bodies of the local self-government.
