After the memorial service held by Bishop of Raska and Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija Teodosije, Vulin addressed the press and requested from EULEX to re-open the investigation into this crime.
He underlined that it is necessary that EULEX behaves in line with its mandate, and pointed out that a crime that is not punished always threatens to be repeated.
According to him, the fact that no one has been held responsible for the killing and wounding of children in Gorazdevac is a warning to the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija that they must take things into their own hands by organising themselves institutionally.
Today is the 10th anniversary of the crime in Gorazdevac near Pec, when on 13 August 2003 two children were killed by gunfire and four were wounded while swimming in the River Bistrica.
Ivan Jovovic (19) and Pantelija Dakic (12) were killed, and their friends Djordje Ugrenovic (20), Bogdan Bukumiric (14), Marko Bogicevic (12) and Dragana Srbljak (13) were heavily wounded, but no one has been held responsible for this crime.
