Vulin, who attended this celebration at the invitation of the Director General of Mining and Chemical Combine "Trepca" Jovan Dimkic, said that apart from the people who remained living in Kosovo, "Trepca" and Gazivode water reservoirs are the most important resource in this part of Serbian territory.
Thanks to the workers, management and the state of Serbia "Trepca" continued to work and employ a large number of people, who also provide livelihoods for their families, he said, adding that now it is the time for new investments in cooperation with foreign partners.
According to him, the cost-effectiveness of building power plants is being considered.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo expressed the hope that the next talks between Belgrade and Pristina will concern property and will take into account the fact that the Serbian state is the owner of the property in Kosovo-Metohija.
He said that during the negotiations on energy, Belgrade and Pristina have not approached positions on the artificial lake Gazivode, noting that Pristina assumes that everything belongs to them, and Belgrade cannot accept that.
Vulin recalled that one-third of Gazivode is located in the municipality of Novi Pazar, and that during the making of the artificial lake dozens of Serbian villages and many acres of Serbian land were flooded.
