Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said today that in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina a progress has been made on the issue of telecommunications, but that the question of dialling code is still open.
Ljajic told the Tanjug news agency that the only difference in the positions of the two sides is that Belgrade believes that there is no need for the word “single”, referring to the dialling code for Kosovo, to be included in the text of the agreement.
According to him, that word is redundant and might be a constraint for telecommunications operators in reaching mutual agreements.
That is the only difference, while in all other matters consent has been achieved more or less, so we will have the agreement if that word is taken out of the text, the Deputy Prime Minister explained.
