Evripidis Evriades and Aleksandar Vulin
A statement by the Office of Kosovo-Metohija says that Evriades confirmed the principled stance of the Republic of Cyprus not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and the need to find for a solution to every problem through an agreement of the parties involved.
He also strongly supported the European orientation of Serbia and welcomed efforts made by Serbia aimed at gaining membership in the EU.
During the meeting, Evriades recalled that the road of the Republic of Cyprus to the EU was very long and marked not only by difficulties, but also by hard and persistent work, and he offered to share experiences.
Vulin informed his guest about the course of the implementation of the first agreement between Belgrade and Pristina reached in Brussels with the mediation of the EU.
He underlined that Belgrade fulfilled its obligations assumed by the agreement, while Pristina stopped at the first step and failed to adopt an amnesty law which is the fundamental prerequisite for all subsequent steps, it is added in the statement.
