Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic stated that the delegations of Belgrade and Pristina have not managed to agree on crucial issues regarding telecommunications in Kosovo-Metohija, but that certain progress has been made.
Ljajic told reporters after almost six hours of negotiations in Brussels that Pristina rejected proposals of compromise regarding the international dialling code for Kosovo and Serbian mobile operators for the community of Serbian municipalities.
He explained that this issue will most likely have to be solved on 20 June at the level of prime ministers, when prime ministers Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci will speak in Brussels in the presence of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
