Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Technical and Operational Affairs in the Negotiating Process Dejan Pavicevic stated that certain progress has been made today in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in the fields of telecommunication and energy, but that no concrete agreement has been made.
Pavicevic said after the meeting with the delegation of Pristina in Brussels that the talks were constructive and will give impetus to reach the expected agreement at the highest political level.
The aim of technical talks in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, he explained, is to ensure the supply of electricity and the operation of the telecommunication network in the Serbian municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Minister of Energy, Development and Environment Protection Zorana Mihajlovic took part in today’s round of technical dialogue.
The Pristina negotiating team was headed by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri, and Director of the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the European Commission Pierre Mirel took part in dialogue.
The solution to the issues of telecommunication and energy sectors, primarily in Serbian municipalities in Kosovo, is an integral part of dialogue on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
