The Prime Minister told reporters that the two parties reached a high degree of understanding in normalisation of mutual relations, adding there is still no agreement on the jurisdictions of the future community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo, particularly the police and judiciary powers.
He pointed out that if there is no positive outcome of dialogue with Pristina, it will be very unlikely for Serbia to get a date for the start of negotiations on membership in the EU, adding that the next steps in dialogue are expected next week.
The Prime Minister said he is proud of the Serbian delegation for its unity and a high level of responsibility in these difficult conditions.
Dacic said that Pristina fears that the community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija is not a new basis for separatism, while on the other side, the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija will not accept this community to be without any serious powers.
Therefore, it is important that we approach this issue by understanding each other, said Dacic.
He reiterated that Serbia, even if there is no agreement, remains committed to dialogue with Pristina in any format, at any place, as well as directly with Pristina, without an intermediary.
Our conclusion is that both Belgrade and Pristina need to send only good messages for our people and for our mutual relations, concluded Dacic.
