The Serbian delegation also includes First Deputy Prime Minister responsible for defence, security and the fight against corruption and crime and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Suzana Grubjesic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic.
The top leaders of Serbia agreed at a meeting yesterday on the minimum of Serbia’s requirements.
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said after the meeting that Serbia is not looking for an ideal solution and is not rejecting anything in advance, but it is unacceptable for Belgrade anything below the demand that citizens of the Community of Serbian municipalities decide on the judiciary and the police, without the presence of the army, and that the EU should guarantee that this will be the case.
Nikolic said that Serbia does not want to send ultimate requirements that would mean the fulfilment of the Constitution and laws of Serbia, but it does not accept ultimatums, and reiterated that the state leadership is unified in its intention to achieve the best possible solution with Pristina.
