After meeting with representatives of Serbs from northern Kosovo and the University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica, he expressed hope that the negotiations with Pristina will provide solutions in the interest of everyone in the province.
He stressed that the university will not move from Kosovo-Metohija.
The university in Kosovska Mitrovica is the one that was moved from Pristina and its possible relocation outside of Kosovo-Metohija would totally make pointless its existence, he said Vulin.
Belgrade is fighting for the right of the people in Kosovo to decide about their own lives, and this would not be possible without a university and local self-government, he said.
In Zvecan, Vulin also met with representatives of Trepca, assuring them the mining complex will not be privatised.
He recalled that the government has already prevented one attempt to privatise the mine, noting that Serbia and the Development Fund are and will remain its majority owners.
In all negotiations, we insisted that the community of Serbian municipalities must be a legal entity with its own property, said Vulin.
He noted that Serbs were excluded from the division of property in all privatisations south of the Ibar River, even though they contributed to building the companies.
Noting that privatizations cannot be based on nationality, Vulin said the state of Serbia cannot recognize such privatizations and expressed hope the international community will share its view.
