The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija stated that 9-year old pupil of third grade Petar Ivanovic from the village of Donja Bitinja in the municipality of Strpce was beaten up yesterday on his way from home to school.
A statement by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija says that Petar Ivanovic was beaten up by a group of Albanians. With noticeable wounds on his head, his parents called the Kosovo Police Service which took him to the hospital in Strpce.
The Office for Kosovo-Metohija is asking from the international community to find and punish perpetrators and instigators of this and all previous attacks.
The Office for Kosovo-Metohija recalls that there have been several bomb attacks on the Serbian children in the last few days and that the perpetrators have still not been identified and punished.
We request from the international community to secure normal childhood to all children in the territory of Kosovo-Metohija so that they would not live in the atmosphere of hatred, violence and fear, it is added in the statement.
