The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo- Metohija reiterated today its request to the international community to find and punish those who committed crimes against the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija since unpunished crimes are being repeated.
The previous days in Kosovo showed that an atmosphere of lynch prevails which can easily escalate into a new pogrom of Serbs, just like in March 2004.
A wave of violence against Serbs starts prior to every new round of talks and Pristina sends a clear message about its preparedness and the way it negotiates, the statement says and adds that unknown perpetrators today threw two Molotov cocktails at the household of Jovanovic brothers from Bresje in Kosovo Polje municipality.
This family is one of the remaining 15 Serbian families in Bresje that are almost daily exposed to different pressures and physical attacks.
We request from the international community to enable all citizens of Kosovo-Metohija to enjoy a fundamental human right - the right to life, it is added in the statement.
