Gravestones at Orthodox cemetery in Klokot village destroyed

The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo- Metohija strongly condemned the destruction and desecration of 27 Serbian gravestones that took place yesterday in the village of Klokot, in the municipality of Vitina, in Kosovo-Metohija.
We are asking the international community to find and punish the perpetrators of this act of vandalism as soon as possible. We recall that 5,261 gravestones have been destroyed and damaged in the territory of Kosovo-Metohija, and most graveyards are inaccessible, have been turned into dumps and are overgrown with weeds and bushes, reads a statement issued by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija.
