Pavicevic told the press after the talks in Brussels that the vehicles with goods which are exempt from excise duty will be allowed to enter the north of Kosovo without a clearance, as well as excise goods up to three and a half tons.
The documentation on the goods being transported will be checked at the crossing points, but only for statistics purposes and not for duty.
He reiterated that it was agreed that the agreement becomes valid as of 20 December at 8.00.
Pavicevic stressed that this agreement only confirmed the agreement reached on 4 December in Brussels at the latest round of political dialogue between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.
The interests of Serbs in northern Kosovo were taken into account during the negotiations, but also the possibility of abuse of free imports, he said and reiterated that Serbia is ready to suspend the agreement on integrated management of administrative crossings if there are obstructions from the other side.
