Speaking to the press after
the ceremony marking the International Day of Migrants and 20 years of work of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Serbia, Dacic said that he is ready not to take part at all in the negotiations with Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci if the agreement on the integrated management of administrative crossings is not respected.
The Prime Minister recalled that it was agreed not to collect customs duty for the goods going to the north of Kosovo and not to cause problems to citizens who do not have Kosovo documents and licence plates.
According to him, the problem is the entry of excise goods to Kosovo and Belgrade is even ready to accept to limit the quantity of excise goods going to the north of Kosovo in order to avoid that the goods are only fictitiously transported to the territory north of the Ibar river whereas they actually end up in the south.
Dacic noted that in dialogue with Pristina and the EU, if there is no will to find a lasting solution to the problem of Kosovo-Metohija, Serbia must have proposals that will protect interests of the Serbs in the southern province.
In the upcoming months Serbia will have to deal with the issue of Serbian institutions in Kosovo-Metohija and the particularity of the Serbs in relation to Pristina authorities which is why it is necessary for Belgrade to come up with certain proposals, the Prime Minister concluded.
