Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Expert and Operational Affairs in Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Dejan Pavicevic said today on the occasion of the beginning of implementation of the Agreement on integrated management of administrative crossings (IBM) at Jarinje and Merdare that he hopes that this will be to the benefit of citizens.
During his visit to the Merdare administrative crossing, Pavicevic underlined that the procedure of transition remains the same, in accordance with the agreements from Brussels and guarantees which the Serbian government has given to Serbian citizens from the southern province.
According to him, there are no state symbols at the integrated administrative crossing and just as before citizens will need only an identity card to cross Jarinje, while for those with Kosovo documents the regime that was established with the Agreement on the freedom of movement will remain in force.
