After the meeting held at the Presidency of Serbia, Dacic said that a state platform in which this policy will be defined will be adopted during this month.
There is no reason to block the administrative crossings, and the decision on the cessation of protests will be made by the Serbs from the north of the province, the Prime Minister stated.
We have to be strong in order to defend Kosovo-Metohija. We cannot defend it with our army, but only through political means and that is why we have to be united, Dacic reiterated.
The meeting was attended by President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic, deputy prime ministers Jovan Krkobabic, Suzana Grubjesic and Rasim Ljajic, Serbian parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Aleksandar Vulin and Director of the Office for Expert and Operational Tasks in the Negotiating Process Dejan Pavicevic.
The meeting was also attended by presidents of all four municipalities from northern Kosovo-Metohija - Krstimir Pantic, Dragisa Milovic, Slavisa Ristic and Dragisa Vasic.
Stefanovic specified after the meeting that the platform on Kosovo-Metohija will be handed over to whips of caucuses in the parliament on 17 December, when the draft strategy will be prepared and MPs will discuss it.
Stefanovic said that the principle of "immediate response" was agreed at the meeting and that all decisions will be made in agreement with representatives of Kosovo Serbs who will be included in the negotiating process.
Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic said that Serbs in northern Kosovo obtained guarantees they requested from the Serbian government that it will suspend implementation of the agreement on integrated management of crossings if any of the parties fails to comply with the agreement.
