Prompt, impartial investigation into Limaj case necessary

The Office for Kosovo-Metohija welcomed EULEX's decision to arrest Fatmir Limaj on suspicion of having committed war crimes.
The office welcomes EULEX's efforts to establish the rule of law in Kosovo, and requires that all suspected war criminals are brought to justice, along with a reminder that families of more than a thousand Serbs and non-Albanians killed since 1999 are waiting for justice.
Criminals have a name first, and then they are members of a nation, and it is essential that justice is applied on all and for all. We hope the international community will have the strength and ability to carry out the Limaj case in a prompt and impartial investigation, and that all the witnesses at the trial will arrive live and with unchanged testimony and that the material evidence will be preserved, according to a press release of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija.
