Pavicevic said in a statement to Tanjug news agency that the last meeting in Brussels with representatives of the provisional institutions of Pristina and the EU concerned the technical details of the implementation of agreement on IBM.
Also discussed was how the procedures will look like, and how to facilitate and speed up the passage of persons, vehicles and goods, he said.
According to him, the preparation for placement of containers at the crossings is underway, and all work will be completed by 10 December, when full implementation of the agreement should commence.
The next phase will follow a little later, at the other crossings, so I hope that this deadline will be met, he said, adding that, depending on the flow of people and goods at crossings, four to eight containers on each side will be put.
Following the dissatisfaction of Serbs from northern Kosovo due to the changes of the agreement on the crossings Jarinje, Merdare and Konculj, he said that those crossings will make life easier for them.
We are in constant contact with Serbs in northern Kosovo, and I understand their concerns and distrust, but I keep trying to explain to them how this will actually work and that it will not cause any disturbance, said Pavicevic.
He reminded that Serbia is doing everything to make life easier for the Serbian population in Kosovo-Metohija.
According to him, a new round of technical dialogue should be held next week, where it is expected that, when completed dialogue about IBM, start discussions on telecommunications and energy.
No new topics should be opened until all issues relating to IBM are solved, he said and announced that the first next talks will be on energy and telecommunications.
Pavicevic said that it is necessary to find a solution that will provide the best outcome for the interests of Serbia, our electric power and telecommunications systems, and the population in Kosovo-Metohija.
