In a statement to the Office said that the meeting was devoted to recent developments regarding the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the work of the UNMIK.
Vulin and DPKO delegation exchanged views on the current challenges regarding the situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
Vulin expressed particular concern over the announced reduction in the number of officers deployed in international missions in Kosovo, emphasising the need to maintain the number of existing members of the mission and functions of UNMIK.
He said that all international organisations and bodies that are in any way connected with Kosovo should remain status neutral, because it is the only way to ensure equality in the talks and the success of ongoing dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and the only way to achieve lasting and sustainable solution.
The DPKO delegation comprised senior policy advisor and team manager for Europe Danilo-Augusto Diaz and political advisor for peacekeeping operations in Georgia, Cyprus and Kosovo Akilbaj Eleusizov as well as acting director of the UN Office in Serbia Andrey Efimov, the statement added.
