Senic told the Beta news agency that participants in the meeting talked about fiscal consolidation over the next three years which is necessary for Serbia and the most efficient way to reduce public debt.
He expressed his hope that all possible disputable issues with the IMF mission will be resolved in the next few days, adding that according to the plan, the negotiations on a new agreement between Serbia and the IMF should be conducted in two phases.
The first phase will be the talks during the stay of the IMF mission in Belgrade until 20 November, while the second phase should take place early next year, when the conclusion of the arrangement is expected.
The talks between the IMF mission, led by Zuzana Murgasova, and representatives of Serbia were held today at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).
