Kalanovic underlined on this occasion that she is particularly pleased with the fact that the plant is opened in a less developed area, and added that the government is fighting for the development of underdeveloped areas with various programmes, opening of new factories, employing workers and providing better living conditions for citizens.
The Minister said that the future of the villages below Mount Kopaonik is guaranteed because many subcontractors and workers are hired in the new plant, and the places that have work will also have children and the future.
Foodland invested €3.5 million in the new plant for fruit and vegetables processing which spans at 5,000 square metres, while the state supported the construction of infrastructure – of new roads and pipelines.
This investment will enable Foodland to have a complete process of production, from reception of raw materials to the final product.
Today Foodland sells its products at more than 25 markets around the world, and the quality of its products is guaranteed by certificates and many awards from domestic and foreign fairs.
