A delegation of the Serbian government, led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic, met today in Abu Dhabi with President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan.

They discussed cooperation in the defence remit and advancement of economic relations between their states.
Members of the delegations also contemplated the possibilities of selling Serbian weapons to the UAE, as well as joint projects for the development and production of missile systems and supersonic simulator planes.
Vucic invited Sheikh Mohammed to visit Serbia, which he accepted and announced his visit in early January next year.
During the talks, Dinkic laid out a proposal of joint investment in the field of agriculture and agro-industry, with a special emphasis on the introduction of large irrigation systems in the territory of Serbia.
The Minister underlined that Serbia has a good investment environment for investors from the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates are the richest Arab country today after Qatar with one of the highest GDPs in the world.
The foreign policy of the United Arab Emirates and development of relations and cooperation in foreign affairs are directly linked with the country’s economic policy and development of trade relations, reads a statement by the Serbian government.
