The Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy and the City Secretariat for Economy organised a meeting with representatives of construction firms to discuss the “detachment” employment agreement with Germany.
Advisor to Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Milos Meljanac explained that Serbia uses only 30 percent of the limit set under the “detachment” employment agreement between Serbia-Montenegro and Germany.
The “detachment” employment agreement between Serbia-Montenegro and Germany regulates engagement of construction firms, while workers are allowed to work in Germany for not more than two years.
The agreement was signed in 1989 and renewed in 2001.
