The Serbian government adopted at its session today proposals to amend 16 laws in the area of justice, transport, agriculture, tourism, privatisation, environmental protection and energy, which envisage the abolishment of 63 para-fiscal levies and taxes.
The Serbian government has so far proposed amendments to the laws that abolish 138 para-fiscal levies and taxes at the state and local level.
The government adopted the Decision on the termination of validity of the Decision on establishment of the Chemicals Agency on the day of entry into force of the Law on amendments to the Law on Chemicals, and the rights and obligations of this agency will be taken over by the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection.
The government also adopted the Decision on the termination of validity of the Decision on establishment of the Agency for protection against ionising radiation and nuclear safety of Serbia on the day of entry into force of the Law on amendments to the Law on protection against ionising radiation and nuclear safety, and the rights and obligations of this agency will be taken over by the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection.
The government instructed an emergency sale from commodity reserves of 5 million litres of refined sunflower oil and 5 million kilograms of sugar in order to protect the market and secure the normal supply of citizens with these goods.
Retail price of oil will be RSD 142.56 per litre, and of sugar RSD 95.05 per kilogram.
The Serbian government instructed that the pensioners whose pension is below RSD 15,000 receive an one-off payment in the amount of RSD 16,000.
The aid will be paid out quarterly in four instalments in the amount of RSD 4,000, and the first instalment will be released next week.
