Consumer prices in August 2012, compared with August 2011, increased by 7.9% and by 7.1% in relation to December 2011.
Observed by main groups according to designation, in August 2012 in relation to the previous month, the greatest increase of prices was noted in the following groups: alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.6%), transport (2.5%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.3%), recreation and culture (2.0%), education (1.4%) and health and communications (by 0.7% each).
In the same period, a decrease of prices was noted in the following groups: furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance and clothing and footwear (by 0.4% each).
The prices of other products and services did not change significantly.
