Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic has received congratulations from his counterparts from India, Turkey, Belarus, Romania and Slovenia on the occasion of his assuming the duty of the Prime Minister of Serbia.
Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh says in his letter that India and Serbia have traditionally friendly relations.
“I look forward to closely cooperating with you on further strengthening the ties between our states and developing the full potential of our cooperation. I would like to use this opportunity to express my wishes for progress and wellbeing to the Serbian people”, reads the Indian Prime Minister’s letter.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in his letter that Turkey assigns great importance to the friendly and historic relations with Serbia and wishes to make them stronger.
“I believe that during your mandate the cooperation between our states will continue to grow stronger and that the firm solidarity between our peoples will play an important part in securing peace and stability in the Balkans”, reads the Turkish Prime Minister’s letter.
The Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich voiced his hope that the brotherly relations between Serbia and Belarus and their people will continue to grow in all areas, as well as that considerable progress will be made in their economic and trade cooperation.
Romanian Prime Minister Viktor Ponta said in a telegram that he would like to use this opportunity to reiterate that Romania strongly endorses Serbia’s EU candidacy and voiced his country’s readiness to provide any assistance in order to help Serbia achieve this strategic goal.
“Furthermore, I hope that we will soon have an opportunity to meet and discuss ways to enhance our bilateral cooperation”, reads Prime Minister Ponta’s telegram.
Slovene Prime Minister Janez Jansa sent a letter congratulating Dacic and wishing him and the new Serbian government success in performing this demanding task.
“I am certain that our cooperation will yield a significant contribution to the development of friendly and partner relations and stronger economic ties. I hope we will continue our open political dialogue on issues of mutual interest”, said Jansa adding that Slovenia expects Serbia to continue its road to the EU.
“On this path you need regional cooperation and good neighbourly relations, which are fundamental values of the European Union and the basic preconditions of stability and progress in the region”, reads the letter by the Slovene Prime Minister.
