The statement says that exports stood at $5,377.1 million, down 7.1% compared to the same period last year, while imports totalled $9,358.8 million, a drop of 2.3% increase in relation to the same period in 2011.
Expressed in Euros, exports jumped 0.6% to €4,144.3 million, while imports went up 5.7% to €7,206.2 million in relation to the same period the year before.
The trade deficit stood at $3,981.7 million, up by 5.2% against the same period in 2011.
Expressed in Euros, the deficit stood at €3,061.9 million, up 13.6%.
The export-to-import ratio was 57.4%, and is lower than in the same period last year, when it stood at 60.5%.
