Parivodic said that Germany has always been Serbia's main business partner, and that it will remain so in the future. In doing so, Parivodic pointed out, the most important thing for our economy is to regularly appear at German trade fairs.
He added that our engineers and high-tech small and medium-size enterprises could become real partners for German companies, which has already confirmed by German firm Siemens.
According to him, the free trade agreement between Serbia and Russia and neighbouring countries is of key importance for Serbia's cooperation with Germany, and, when added to the agreement that will be signed shortly with Ukraine, access to a market of nearly 300 million people will be possible.
German Vice-Minister of Economy and Labour Ditmar Staffelt said that the forthcoming fair of information-communication technologies in Hanover will be a good opportunity for the Serbian economy to show its potential to possible investors.
He underlined that Germany is convinced that there is great potential for economic cooperation with Serbia, but it is necessary to eliminate political risk and improve cooperation with all European institutions.
Germany is interested in the improvement of the Serbian economy, as this would contribute to stability in the region. At the session of the German-Serbian Business Council held in Berlin we have defined projects and agreed to a greater inclusion of business people in these projects, Staffelt said.
