In a statement to Beta news agency, ahead of tomorrow's anniversary of the attempt of the special units of the Kosovo police ROSU to take over by force the administrative crossings of Brnjak and Jarinje and the establishment of barricades in northern Kosovo, Bogdanovic said that the provisional institutions of authority in Pristina might repeat such unilateral actions, but reiterated his expectation that the continuation of dialogue will prevent any such provocation in the future.
The Minister underlined that the continuation of negotiations with Pristina is the only way to calm down the situation in the province, and pointed out that since 25 July of last year the situation has changed very little, although there are no more barricades that are held day and night.
What matters is that the province is quiet now, that negotiations will continue and that the problems of the north of the province, administrative crossings and all other outstanding issues be resolved through dialogue, Bogdanovic concluded.
