Petković emphasised that postponing the implementation of these decisions for two months must not remain the final outcome of international action, because otherwise the survival of Serbs, as well as the dialogue on the normalisation of relations itself, would be seriously called into question.
According to him, the statement by Besnik Bislimi that the period of postponement of the implementation of the aforementioned decisions would serve Priština for further pressure on Serbs is entirely threatening and malicious.
Health care and education institutions, as he pointed out, constitute the backbone of the survival of the Serbian people and represent the very heart of the Community of Serb Municipalities. In this regard, any statement that envisions the life and survival of Serbs without the Community of Serb Municipalities is very dangerous.
Petković added that there can be no talk of any of Bislimi’s ideas, especially when it comes to health care and education.
He explained that he would therefore use tomorrow’s meeting in Belgrade with EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue Peter Sørensen to once again stress that there can be no progress in the dialogue without the Community of Serb Municipalities.
The Director of the Office indicated that he would also point out the malicious statements by Kurti and Bislimi, which most seriously undermine the dialogue and the possibility of finding a compromise solution.
