Serbian Patriarch Pavle talked today with Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and General Vladimir Lazarevic and pointed out that the Serbian people and state are faced with great temptations, and the greatest is the destiny of Kosovo-Metohija.

According to the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Patriarch said that the Serbian Orthodox Church puts the real truth about Kosovo-Metohija beyond all earthly interests, and added that we must always stick to the truth, testify for the truth and fight for it.
"In our history we have had examples of honourable officers who stood for the interests of their nation and defended truth courageously and to the very end. The Serbian Orthodox Church respects and highly praises the decision of General Lazarevic to follow this difficult path in the interest of his homeland," the Patriarch said.
