May industrial output declines

The Serbian Statistics Office stated that industrial production in May 2012, compared to May 2011, dropped by 3.1%, while in relation to 2011 average it decreased by 3.2%.
In the period January–May 2012 industrial output dropped 4.3% against the same period in 2011.
Observed by sections, in May 2012 compared to the same month in 2011, the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector dropped by 17.4% and mining and quarrying by 14.4%, while the processing industry increased by 1.4%.
