Bogdanovic underlined that the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija condemns in the harshest terms today’s attack and stressed that the Serbs in the province do not trust the Kosovo Police Service (KPS), which in the situations of this kind has never been efficient and never discovered perpetrators of assaults on Serbs.
He said that the attack on the monk is one in a series of incidents that shows that Albanian extremists are using every opportunity for the violence against Serbs, adding that impunity for many years and not disclosing the perpetrators has resulted in such frequent acts of violence.
Bogdanovic called on representatives of the international mission in the province to finally take all actions to provide the Serbs in Kosovo basic human freedoms that they have been denied, and also to uncover the motives and find and punish the perpetrators of the attack on monk Mitrofan.
The Minister also asked KFOR to protect the Serbian churches and monasteries and ensure freedom of movement to the clergy and monks of the Serbian Orthodox Church, reads a statement of the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija.
