Kosovo cannot participate in regional organisations as independent state

Head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic reiterated today that Kosovo-Metohija cannot participate in regional organisations as an independent state.
Stefanovic said in a statement to Tanjug news agency that the initiative of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Selim Belortaja Kosovo joins the Organisation of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was expected, but stressed that Kosovo is not and cannot be an independent state.
He stressed that regional cooperation is important and that Pristina’s voice should be heard, but only following the rules of the organisation in which it appears.
