KFOR must adhere to its mandate

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic today called upon KFOR to refrain from any show of force and to strictly adhere to its mandate.
Regarding the incident that took place today near Rudare in northern Kosovo-Metohija, Bogdanovic told Serbs to remain calm and not to respond to provocations, reiterating his appeal to all to refrain from violence.
The Minister noted that the heated scenario must be pacified as soon as possible, that the situation should return to normal and any problem must be resolved through dialogue, and not by the use of force.
Any escalation of conflicts can get us spiralling into violence with unforeseeable consequences, he warned.
During today’s shooting in Rudare, in the municipality of Zvecan, four persons were injured when KFOR members began removing road blocks in Rudare.
