Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said today that the opening of an administrative office of the Kosovo government in northern Mitrovica could raise tensions in the north of the province.

Bogdanovic told the Tanjug news agency that opening of such office could be seen as a provocation and added that we should make efforts to maintain peace before the resumption of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
He stressed that the Serbs have their own institutions and added that the opening of this office shows the intention of the authorities of Pristina to once again attempt to integrate Serbs into Kosovo institutions.
The Minister pointed out that the opening of the said office is a unilateral move by the authorities in Pristina, which would not contribute to solving the problems in Kosovo.
