March industrial output down by 3.2%

The Serbian Statistical Office stated today that Serbia’s industrial output in March went down by 3.2% against the same period last year and by 0.6% against the 2011 average.
The statement adds that the industrial output in the period January–March 2012, compared with the same period 2011, was lower by 5.9%.
Observed by sectors and compared to March 2011, a drop was recorded in the electricity, gas and steam supply sector by 13.4%, in the processing sector by 0.8% and the mining sector by 3.2%.
