Head of the Serbian team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic voiced his hope that Serbia will be granted a date for starting the negotiations with the EU this year, and affirmed Belgrade’s readiness to resume talks with Pristina.
In an interview for Wiener Zeitung daily, Stefanovic reiterated that Serbia will not recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
He said that the interim institutions of government in Pristina are hindering the implementation of agreements reached in Brussels by drawing unilateral moves and by violence against Serbs.
Stefanovic recalled the recent attack on a Serbian delegation which arrived to discuss the implementation of agreements, and noted that there have been attempts to seize registration plates and ID cards from Serbs in the north of the province.
