Head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that the agreement on regional representation of Pristina provisional institutions will also apply to informal meetings of the Western Balkans organised by the EU.
At a meeting of the parliament’s committee on Kosovo-Metohija, Stefanovic presented the Serbian government’s report on the agreement reached on 24 February in Brussels.
He said that the agreement is good as Kosovo will be presented in regional meetings asymmetrically.
The deal allows full asymmetry of Pristina, he reiterated noting that Kosovo will be represented by an asterisk and a footnote.
Serbian representative will leave any meeting where the footnote is omitted from the tables of Kosovo, he said.
Stefanovic said that this was the best solution possible, and stressed that it is in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Serbian Constitution.
