Bogdanovic said that ordinary citizens face various problems every day.
He stressed that Serbia sees the UN as the highest authority of international presence in Kosovo-Metohija, and reiterated that our country is committed to peaceful means of solving problems, compromise and dialogue as well as the application of the agreements reached in Brussels.
Speaking about elections in the province, he pointed to the necessity of UNMIK’s assistance, as well as the respect of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Taranco, who is on his first visit to the region, voiced his interest in the way UN agencies can help to improve sustainable development and the lives of common people.
The UN carefully monitor the events concerning the dialogue under EU auspices, as well as all other delicate issues, he said.
During the talk, they agreed that the UN and its agencies should continue with their activities in the field, the statement adds.
