Stefanovic, who will talk with Cooper via video link to discuss the implementation of previously reached agreements, reiterated in a statement to Tanjug news agency today that the Serbian government is fully committed to the implementation of all agreements, but underlined that the abuse must stop.
He recalled that fliers which EULEX distributed at administrative crossings Jarinje and Brnjak, which read that as of 1 June citizens in Kosovo-Metohija must have either KS or RKS licence plates, a Kosovo issued identification card and driving and registration licences, have been withdrawn.
The fliers in no way reflect the stance of the EU or the agreements reached in Brussels, Stefanovic stressed.
He underlined that a way must be found to prevent such activities which speak of the clear intentions of Pristina and its supporters to abuse the agreement on the freedom of movement.
The freedom of movement refers to all, it must be broad and enable a normal life to citizens, and not to prevent it to certain categories of population. This is why we must circumvent every such challenge by an appropriate package of measures, Stefanovic concluded.
