The Serbian Statistics Office stated that the average gross salary in Serbia in January 2012 amounted to RSD 50,829, up by 16.8% in nominal terms and down 16.9% in real terms when compared to December 2011.
The average net salary in January stood at RSD 36,639, which is 16.5% less in nominal and 16.6% in real terms when compared to the average net salary in December 2011.
Compared with January 2011, the average gross salary last month rose 7.3% nominally and 1.6% in real terms.
The average net salary in January 2012 in comparison with January 2011 went up nominally by 7.7% and 2.0% in real terms.
