Head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said late yesterday that the Serbian delegation tried to come to a constructive solution to the issue of regional representation of Pristina in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and state and national interests.
Stefanovic underlined that in this round of dialogue with Pristina, a partial convergence of attitudes was reached in terms of determining the footnote, but this still remains the biggest point of contention.
He pointed out that the talks in Brussels were conducted in a very difficult atmosphere since representatives of the provisional institutions of authority in Pristina had the attitude of denial and rejection.
In his opinion, there are chances to reach a settlement today if the Pristina side accepts the necessity of finding a solution.
