Assistance to families from Restelica near Dragas

The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija has sent today an emergency aid worth RSD 2 million to the families of the people who died yesterday in a snow avalanche in the village of Restelica near Dragas municipality in Kosovo-Metohija.
This money is only the most urgent part of the aid, which the Ministry will continue to provide to the families of the victims and the villagers of Restelica.
Since the beginning of this great tragedy, the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija is constantly in contact with representatives of EULEX, KFOR and the local self-government so that the villagers of Restelica could get proper and effective assistance.
Also, the Ministry extended its deepest condolences to the families of the casualties of the snow avalanche.
The Serbian government and the Ministry will do everything to make up for the damage, help the families of the victims and residents of Restelica, the statement adds.
The snow avalanche in Restelica killed 10 members of the Reka family. Among the victims there were children, of whom the youngest was two years old.
A five-year old girl was saved, who was transferred to the hospital in Prizren due to frostbite in both hands.
