Belgrade open for dialogue with Pristina

Head of the Serbian negotiating team for talks with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said that during today's meeting with EU mediator for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Robert Cooper, the Serbian side has come up with new solutions.
Stefanovic said in a telephone statement to Beta news agency that Belgrade has again demonstrated its constructiveness, and announced that the international community will make efforts in the coming days so that Pristina abandons its maximalist demands and rigid approach.
Today’s meeting in Vienna concerned the issue of regional representation of Pristina, he said adding that there were some positive steps forward and that Belgrade demonstrated willingness to reach a mutually acceptable solution.
The head of the team reiterated that Belgrade proposed several new solutions in line with the Serbian Constitution, laws, Serbia’s national interest, which contain UN Security Council Resolution 1244. He also voiced his hope that such a constructive approach will enable a positive outcome.
Belgrade is open for a continuation of dialogue with Pristina and it showed that it is a constructive and creative partner, Stefanovic stressed, adding that by constant engagement and new proposals the Serbian side is moving towards a resolution.
