Turkey’s Boral Aluminium to build factory in Doljevac

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic announced that Turkish company Boral Aluminium will invest over €50 million in the construction of an aluminium profiles and truck trailer doors factory in Doljevac.

Following a signing of a memorandum on the construction of the factory between company representatives and the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and Doljevac municipality, Kalanovic specified that the state subsidy within this investment will be around €10 million.
She stressed that this will enable the employment of 300 workers, reiterating that unemployment is the greatest problem in Serbia and the state is therefore under obligation to endorse investors.
SIEPA Deputy Director Goran Dzafic recalled that since 2006, the Agency has set aside €980 million in subsidies and for support to investors.
Once the competition is concluded in end-January, this amount will exceed €1 billion, Dzafic noted.
