State Secretary at the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija Oliver Ivanovic said today that the Serbian government is preparing a decree on the recognition of university diplomas, based on the agreement reached in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Ivanovic told Tanjug news agency that at this moment the Albanians from southern Serbia are most interested in the solution of the issue of diplomas since they often have problems with employment because the procedure of recognition of diplomas they obtained in Pristina was complicated and long lasting.
The State Secretary stated that the Serbs can now have similar problems, especially those who live south of the Ibar River, so the Serbian government is ready to face the potential problems in advance, offering solutions for such situations.
He specified that all the agreements that were adopted in Brussels are verified by the Serbian government which is then obliged to prepare by-laws that will regulate the application of what was agreed in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
